I'll admit that it was much more difficult to find an author to represent the letter I for today's entry, but I did it! Today is about: Kazuo Ishiguro. Kazuo Ishiguro (1954-) I haven't read much by Ishiguro, but what I have read has been fantastic. If you're looking for a great contemporary fiction writer, look no further. Having been recognized as a stand out British author and nominated multiple times for the Man Booker Prize , winning for The Remains of the Day in 1989, Ishiguro sets his novels in the identifiable past while allowing his characters to reveal their many flaws through first-person narratives. This allows for the reader to really feel for the characters as people and not just figures in a novel. One thing that might irk some readers is the penchant for Ishiguro to leave his novels unresolved.
