Double-Stacked Bookshelves

Whew...long title!  Sorry for the EXTENDED absence, friends.  This particular year has been one that has been trying and has most definitely gotten in the way of me doing things I love.  I have put aside a lot of my creative outlets to focus on things that had nothing to do with my personal fulfillment and, in doing so, may have lost a little bit of what I loved about me.  While I don't really do resolutions as I find they don't tend to stick, and why would I only declare that changes can be made in January instead of year round, I am going to make a heartfelt effort to get back into doing the things that I love.  So...as 2019 winds down and 2020 gets ready to greet us at the door, I am currently making lists of things that I want to do with this platform.  While none of those things include revenue (I don't have the time or luxury to commit to that much in the blogosphere at this point in my life), they do include posting with more regularity and variety...

This week's topic is:  Top Ten Bookish Goals/Resolutions for 2018 .  Ironically, I just did a goals post for Bout of Books last week , so I'll be using some of those same goals in this post.  I might also sneak a few new ones in there :) Here's what's brewing in my book/blog world for the year: Read ONLY books that I currently own.  I have way too many books that have resided on my OVERFLOWING bookshelves and they've been there for years.  Seriously, years!  I have made a resolution to read from those books over the next few months in an effort to purge some books from my home and make a dent in the ever shrinking and fully cluttered spare bedroom... Start reviewing books again.  I was on a really good kick for a few years, ...

This week's topic is:  Blogging?  Where do you do it?   Well, let me tell you! I have two separate places where I tend to blog... At Home I work on a laptop when I'm at home.  Often, you can find me sitting on the couch, hunched over, typing away on my 2006 Dell (yeah...) while it's sitting on the coffee table.  It's not super comfortable, sometimes, but it gets the job done.  It also allows me to take breaks easily, as in watch some mindless entertainment on the tube and get snacks, and it's easy to pick it up, place it on my lap, lean back, and relax a little.  However, my lap gets kind of hot doing this.  One day, I'll have a spiffy new laptop to crush the blog on and maybe, just maybe, an actual office where I can work on stuff!  Ah, dreams... At Work (shhhh....) When I have downtime at work (or when I need to take a break from data entry and whatnot), I'll work on the good ole blog.  This happens more often in the summer ...
