Whether they helped to inspire my love of reading or they ushered my interests into a new genre, these books hold a special place in my heart. Wait Till Helen Comes by Mary Downing Hahn The is the book that sparked my interest in horror/thrillers at a young age. I was in third or fourth grade when I checked it out from the library at school and it was love at first read. I've re-read it a few times over the years and it's still creepy. Love it!
