Top Ten Tuesday: FREEBIE

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and it's a way to share what you're loving in list form. The topic changes every week, so there is always something new to discover!
This week's topic is:  FREEBIE.  Yay!  So, because I missed last week's Top Ten, I am going to go with that topic...Top Ten Complete Series I Have Yet to Finish.

Here they are:

Inkworld by Cornelia Funke

Finishing School by Gail Carriger

The Chemical Garden by Lauren DeStefano

Contours of the Heart by Tammara Webber

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman

Edilean by Jude Deveraux

The Tudor Court by Philippa Gregory

Wildwood Chronicles by Colin Meloy
The Kommandant's Girl by Pam Jenoff

Some of these I've only read one book in, while others are nearly complete!  What are some series you need to finish?

Also, look for next week's top ten:  Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR

Happy reading!

  1. I love His Dark Materials! I've listened to the whole series several times.

I also didn't finish The Inheritance Cycle (didn't make it through book 1), Finishing School (hated book 1), or Inkworld (struggled to get through book 1).

    1. I haven't "really" started The Inheritance Cycle or His Dark Materials yet...whoops. I've read the first in the Finishing School series and it was alright (easy, light read), though not as good at the Parasol Protectorate series. I loved Inkheart...

  2. There are only two books from your list that I've read: Easy and Unbreakable. The first I loved so much, but the latter turned out to be quite a disappointment so I gave up on the series. I'm thinking about picking up Finishing School by Gail Carriger because I feel like EVERYONE has read her books but me. Tbh, I tried reading Soulless by her but couldn't get into it. Lauren DeStefano's Chemical Garden trilogy got so many mixed reviews that I'm not sure what to do about it. I think I'll read The Curious Tale of the In-Betweens first because I'm super excited about it, and then pick up CG if I liked her writing style. She's symphatetic on Twitter so that's a start haha.

    1. I've only read Easy and have hopes that the next two will be good (maybe unwarranted!). I actually like The Parasol Protectorate series more than the Finishing School, but who knows. As for the Chemical Garden...I've read the first and was not overly impressed, but feel the need to find out how it ends. Sigh...

    1. Thanks, Faith! I've only read the first in the Finishing School series and it was entertaining. If you like Victorian England, Steampunk, (non-sparkly) vampires, and werewolves...it's pretty entertaining!
