The Beat the Heat Readathon began on August 11th and runs through September 1st.  I was going to keep track of my progress on my original post, but I've decided to create a new updates post specifically for the challenge which I will update accordingly.

Oooo...the day is getting closer; creeping stealthily, it will smack you in the face in no time!
