"Elsie and Rachel stood on the landing by the building's front door, watching them go.  Their breath made little plumes of mist in the air above their heads.  Remembering, Elsie reached into her pocket and pulled out the piece of paper the boy had given her.  Slowly, she unfolded it and read the words that were scrawled on the yellowed surface:  'GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!'"  --page 57

      Heidi, it's the second in a trilogy by a local Portland writer and the lead singer of The Decemberists. Pretty fun to read. Thanks for visiting :)

    That's a great Teaser. I like the description -- "plumes of mist" -- and I'm wondering what dangerous situation awaits Elsie and Rachel.

Oooo...the day is getting closer; creeping stealthily, it will smack you in the face in no time!
