Top Ten Tuesday: Re-Read Like The First Time

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and it's a way to share what you're loving in list form. The topic changes every week, so there is always something new to discover!

This week's topic is:  Top Ten Books On My TBR For Summer 2015.  While I love this topic, I feel like we just did it last month (see:  Books in Your Beach Bag).  So, instead, I'm going to do Top Ten Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time.  This has nothing to do with the actual topic, but it's a topic I missed for TTT in the past.  So there!

In no particular order:

Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Harry Potter by JK Rowling...duh

Midwives by Chris Bohjalian

Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Peace Like a River by Leif Enger

Night by Elie Wiesel

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

What are some books that you wish you could re-read for the first time?

Also, look for next week's Top Ten:  Favorite Top Ten Topics from the Past

Happy reading!

  1. You've got some great selections on this list. I have read Midwives, The Time Traveler's Wife, and The Book Thief a couple of times. So good. And I've read/listened to Harry Potter at least 20 times. So so good. Enjoy your re-reading!

  2. Yes to Harry Potter! It would be great to read that one for the first time (again). :) I still haven't read The Time Traveler's Wife, I've heard it's so good.

    1. It's really good. I haven't watched the movie because I hear that they completely changed the ending...

  3. I applaud your defiance! Haha :) When I was working on mine I was thinking "didn't we just do something like this??" Haha oh well. Great list! Now that I've read HP I can totally see why I got so many comments about people wishing they could re-read for the first time again. Excellent list!

  4. For me I wish I could re-read Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M Auel for the first time. I have a real emotional reaction every time I read it, but nothing ever beats the first time :)

    1. I have yet to read those! My mom loves them and always recommends them to me because she thinks I'll like them...which I probably would. One day :) Thanks for visiting, Debbie!
