J is for Just Because Letters

One of my great joys in life is giving and receiving

Just Because Letters
I don't know what it is about letters sent or received, but there is something truly magical about them.  Perhaps it's the idea that someone thought about you (or you thought about someone) and took the time out of their day to write you a little note.  Also, there is something about receiving and sending a good old fashioned piece of snail mail (that isn't a bill).  It's an unexpected surprise that truly lifts your spirits at any given time.  And now to write a few of these lovely gems for some stupendous people :)

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

  1. I absolutely love to write and receive "snail mail"! It always perks up my day when I have unexpected nice mail instead of just junk mail and flyers :D

  3. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person that still writes hand-written letters, but I love writing them. A letter feels much more personal. :)

  4. I have a boxful of letter my mother hand wrote or typed to me back in the 90's. She hated email and loved her typewriter so I am fortunate to have those letters filled with her sense of humor now that she is gone.

  5. Good idea... it's been eons since I last wrote an actual letter... I know some folks who would be greatly surprised by receiving such a thing. I'll try it... if my A.D.D. will let me remember...

  6. I agree! I rarely get letters in the mail anymore though. I mostly get books :) I really don't know the last time I got a letter. They look so pretty in that picture though.
